At SmithersLIP, our work is focused on building a welcoming and inclusive community through collaboration, planning, and action. We partner with local organizations, service providers, and community members to support the successful settlement and integration of newcomers in Smithers.

The Smithers Local Immigration Partnership is pleased to release its first Community Plan. This plan will help to guide our work in the region over the next three years.

Land Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge, with gratitude and appreciation, that the land on which we live and operate in Smithers is the unceded, traditional territory of the Gidimt’en Clan and the Wet’suwet’en Nation. These lands are also home to many other Indigenous people, including the Inuit and Métis.
We work together to strengthen our region and support newcomers, youth, or entrepreneurs in their journey toward integration, success, or wellness.
